To sell or not to sell your Gold?

I often have customers say to me “well this gold has been hanging around the house in an old box doing nothing so may as well sell and enjoy the proceeds now…..”

Well you do have options……….

1.   Do you really want to sell?

Decide if you really want to part with your old gold as it will always be a good investment and may well come in handy in the future. If the answer is a probable yes then where to sell gold is important as you want the best price and service that you can get. Typically if you can get 90% of the spot price then you are doing well!

  2.   Jewellery with Gemstones?

If you have valuable gemstones then I suggest not to scrap as gold but to obtain a valuation from a local jeweller and advertise via an on-line auction site. Failing that try selling direct to a high street jeweller but the price you receive will be lower.

3.   Antique jewellery

Should you have antique jewellery then please contact me as I have a friend and colleague who is an expert in this field who can offer free advice, buy direct or even sell on your behalf if required.

4.   Good time to sell

Now is a good time to sell as the price and the money for gold is high although it does fluctuate along with the up and down news on the UK and world economies. You can keep a tab on gold prices here where you can view a real time independent price graph at the bottom of the home page. Please also feel free to obtain a no obligation price quotation by contacting us. The prices you see advertised are the prices we pay direct to you! We guarantee to pay higher than any other local bona fide quotation.
